Enbridge gas rebate program is available for windows and doors replacement. This program is available for all home owners even if they are not customers of Enbridge.
How do I apply?
You can apply by calling Enbridge at 866-907-9206 to enquire about the rebate program and ask to schedule your first in home inspection. Alternatively, once signing a contract with Tricity windows and doors, we will send a form with your details to Home inspectors office and they will contact you to schedule your first audit.
What is the process?
After you sign a contact with your windows and doors contractor they email a form with your details to the government offices. An inspector will call you to schedule your first audit. The inspector will then come and inspect all your windows and doors and provide you with the details. Once the first inspection is done, you will have 120 days to complete the replacement project. After your windows and doors are installed, an additional appointment with the inspector will be required. The final visit from the inspector will determine if the window, doors and installation have met the requirements for energy efficient products. As a result, if the second inspection was successful the government will issue a check with the amount you are eligible for.
What are the requirements?
You need to complete 2 upgrades on their list:
If you wish to replace only windows and doors, be advised that air sealing considered as one upgrade. When we replace your windows and doors we seal your air, therefore you have 2 upgrades. In addition, windows and doors should be Energy Star qualified and have the stickers on them while completing the final audit.
Do I need to pay?
Yes, however the big portion of the sum will be reimbursed. You will need to pay $400+ tax for the first audit and $200+ tax for second audit.
After the process is complete, you will receive $550 (Tax included) back. To conclude, you will only pay $128 at the end of the process.
How much will I get for each window and door?
You will get up to $150 for air sealing and $40 for every window and door replaced.
The more windows and doors you replace the more money you receive.
If you are doing additional upgrades available on the Enbridge list, you may receive up to $5000 in return.
